Gardner machine gun manufactured by Pratt & Whitney, Hartford, Connecticut
2 to 5 barrels, capable of firing 1,200 shots per minute (two barrel model
fired 350 - 400 rounds per minute). In 1879 US Navy tested the gun with good
reports but the gun was never adopted. Only 21 guns were manufactured in the
